Ratatouille

Ratatouille (rat-a-too-ee)

French ratatouille may be served as a meal on its own (accompanied by rice, potatoes, or simply French bread), or as a side dish. Tomatoes are a key ingredient, with garlic, onions, zuchhini (courgettes), eggplant (aubergine), bell peppers (capsicum), some herbes de Provence, and sometimes basil. All the ingredients are sauteed in olive oil.

The name of the dish appears to derive from the French touiller, "to stir", although the root of the first element "rata" is slang from the French Army meaning "chunky stew".

I think I'm in love with French cuisine~~~I want to hop on the next plane to Paris just to have dinner. . .

O.K.~~~a bit overexcited but this movie is a MUST see because the characters are so cute, the scenes are really funny, and it's located in Paris, but MOST of all "it's all about food"~~~~what else can you do but fall in LOVE!

At times I almost forgot that I was watching an American film or that the characters in it were talking in English. This movie had a really nice vibe to it that I really liked and enjoyed~~~like you were watching some sentimental classic or something---very "Frenchy"...

Rating: 10+
